Katie Manning

Meet Katie Manning – Artist, Teacher, Creative & Trauma Coach and Mum of 3, the eldest of whom was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate.

​

Katie was an Art Textiles teacher for over 20 years in secondary schools and took the leap in 2019 to fulfil a lifelong ambition of becoming an artist in her own right and has grown her current business, Cleft Warrior Woman through life experiences, creative experimentation, intuition and the drive to make the world a more connected, creative, kind and educated place to be.

The dovetailing of Katie’s creative love, parenting journey (as a mother of three) and lived experience has led her down this path of creating stunning and soulful portraits. Katie launched Cleft courses for parents of those who are cleft affected in 2022 and has since become a Trauma Informed Coach offering group and 1-1 services across the world.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Katie has agreed to come to our conference to share with us some of her beautiful portraits as she embarks on her project 100 Cleft Smiles.
