Simulation Lead
Michele Bossy
I work as a consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford. I have been Trust Lead for Simulation for the past 6 years, but have been involved in designing and developing high fidelity simulation based courses to meet training needs since 2007. I am interested in the way healthcare professionals learn complex skills and processes, and how that learning is translated into practice, especially in high pressured environments. We run the Medisim Centre at the Royal Surrey where we deliver in house training to medical undergraduate students from Southampton and St George's medical school, a foundation doctor simulation programme and a wide variety of in-house training and courses to postgraduate doctors from a wide range of specialties. We also offer training to nurses, ODPs, ACPs and other allied healthcare professionals. We host regional training courses in anaesthesia, ICM, medicine, paediatrics and for trainees returning to work after a period of absence (RTT). We try to be innovative and responsive in the training we deliver and are always looking for new ways to develop!

Interim Technology Enhanced Learning Lead
Paul Wilder
Paul Wilder is the Interim Technology Enhanced Learning lead for Frimley Health Foundation Trust, which includes managing their Online Learning Portal, as well as for the past decade running the simulation suite at Frimley Park Hospital, along with overseeing a team of simulation technicians and TEL staff. He has presented at many SimNET and other simulation / TEL regional meetings and conferences, as an enthusiastic advocate for the practical leveraging of current and emerging educational technology in a hospital setting. His latest project was the introduction to two simsuites of an online EPR system, replacing the use of paper props in scenarios, thus replicating the modern reality of trusts. He has recently become an ASPiH Regional Tech Champion for the South, fully supporting its key purpose of improving engagement, networking and professional development of Skills and Simulation Technicians across the UK and beyond.
